"Al Hashulchan" ("On the Table") is the most respected and successful food and wine magazine published in Israel. It is widely read by the community of chefs and other culinary professionals as well as gastronomy enthusiasts. Over 50 recipes in each issue, in-depth features, cooking techniques, restaurant and cook books reviews, wine tastings, food and wine tourism etc. Al Hashulchan employs the best photographers and food journalists and closely follows and encourages the development of the local gastronomy and wine culture.
Publishing
Cook books, published by our company maintain the same high-quality standards as the magazine itself. Among the books published by our company are the best selling Chocolate, The Kitchen Helper (Sheshet) Series, The Big Book of Chicken Recipes, New York for Food Lovers as well as The Dining Room (Pinat Ochel) Series published in collaboration with Steimazky, the largest bookstore chain in Israel.
Additionally Al Hashulchan has published several books for the professional sector - Wine Guide for Waiters and Restarateurs, Best Beef Recipes from Israeli Chefs, Very Important Diners (manual for caterers in the kindergarden sector).
Exhibitions and Festivals
The Israeli Wine Exhibition -Al Hashulchan founded and organized the first nationwide shows, dedicated exclusively to the Israeli Wines. The first three shows were held in the historic Scottish House in Jaffa and attracted thousands of visitors. These shows, along with media campaign launched by our company, contributed considerably to growing popularity of the Israeli wines - both locally and internationally.
Bakery Festival - held in march 2006 in Tel Aviv Port,it was first of its kind event in Israel that combined exhibition with cooking demonstrations and workshops.
Al Hashulchan Good Food Festival - An exhuberant three days event - held in the port of Tel Aviv in Spring 2007.
